121 Counselling
Providing a non-judgmental, safe space giving you the time to explore whatever you wish to bring face to face or online.
As an integrative therapist, my approach is based upon person-centred and relational counselling, essentially, this means I am influenced by you, and what you personally need. I believe counselling is somewhere you will feel heard and understood, which provides opportunity and the foundations for healing and change.
I have experience working with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional strain or overwhelm, unhelpful behaviour patterns, relationship and identity struggles, family difficulties, menopause, life-changing challenges, intimacy and sex, and coping with shame, loss, and bereavement.

What you bring is totally up to you, we are all unique, and need support at times when it feels somewhat difficult to work through alone. We will work together in exploring a way forward, helping you make sense of what you are going through or where you may be feeling stuck.

1-1 support sessions that are face to face are £60.00 per session - usually lasting, between 50 minutes to an hour In my experience most people prefer online sessions to be around 45 minutes long.

There are concessions available, please get in touch to enquire more.
I offer availability Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays 9.15 am - 7 pm, limited evening sessions are available.
Family & Young People Sessions
Alongside 1-1 sessions for individuals, I provide bespoke counselling support to young people, families and couples experiencing difficulties or having a challenging time.

I have been supporting people for 25 years, during this time I have worked with different modalities and have qualifications in Health & Social Care, counselling, creative arts, family mentoring, mental health, sound therapy & mindfulness. These all give me an extensive range of health & wellbeing interventions that support improving resilience, self-esteem & confidence, building trust & personal development, all are helpful and can be more suitable support for people who find talking or opening up particularly challenging. I have had various roles in my career, ranging from being a healthcare assistant in a brain injury unit to managing a wellbeing centre and working with hidden victims of crime, and I hold an enhanced DBS.

Young people and children can be seen either in my therapy room or using a room at their school during school hours. For 1-1 sessions in school or in my therapy room, the cost is £60.00 per session.

A family support session usually lasts around 75 minutes, the cost is based on the bespoke support required. They mainly cost £40.00 per person attending each group session. For example, if two people attend the cost would be £80.00, and individual sessions for the members involved are £65.00 for a 50-minute session. Please contact me for more information.

LGBTQIA Support & Counselling
I have completed additional training in supporting GSRD clients who have diverse identities, gender, sexualities, relationships, and lifestyles. Sarah (SJ) has completed a specialist training course by Gendered Intelligence and combines this with their own experiences to provide a safe and affirming environment.
I will provide a non-judgmental space with time to reflect and discuss any concerns and offer any practical support for both emotional and mental health self-care. It is important for me to offer a welcoming and accepting space for young people, and adults looking for support.

I work with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, identity & gender topics, symptoms of Body Dysphoria, sexuality & diverse relationships, kink, open & poly relationships, intimacy and sex, family difficulties, coping with shame and fears, loss and bereavement, and anything else that may be unsettling you.
You will not have to feel like you will be judged or questioned on your lifestyle choices or needs, because of my experience in this area I can offer you the affirming support you need. I have been working with and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community for just over 20 years and have a personal insight into transgender/queer-related guidance and support.
